Apple configurator invalid profile11/10/2023 So I assume this untrusted cert is the root of the error, have now removed accordingly. Date ranges are valid on both, as to why the older org profile is untrusted, I can only guess. So I head on over to Configurator 2 Preferences, Orgs, and then look for the one that has the older certificate date when you click on 'Show Supervision Identity.' - this is where I find that the older idendity appears to have an untrusted cert, and the newer one is trusted. However, I now have two items in my Org list have exactly the same string, which isn't brilliant. The profile that I included in the preparation process has the Wifi SSID and password. At some point our company will be deploying 2000 of these iPads, but I get various errors like the one listed in the title. Make a note of the serial number and phone number of the iPad. Trying to provision a brand new iPad with Apple Configurator 2. Uncheck 'Supervise' and 'Allow devices to pair with other computers'. It revalidated with the ABM apple ID and then the prepare went through on the iPad without error. Check 'Add to Device Enrollment Program'. So last thing to try was to choose the 'New Organization' option on the 'Assign to Organisation' option. A new configuration profile document window appears. In Apple Configurator, choose File > New Profile. You don’t need to plug devices into your Mac to create profiles. I'm testing MDM differences, so have two MDMs setup (Jamf and the other both had this same error). You can sign configuration profiles to make sure they aren’t edited by anyone after you create them. The fix (for me) was to re-create the Organization profile as part of the Prepare steps. Supported operating systems and channels: iOS, iPadOS, Shared iPad device, macOS device, macOS user, tvOS.
