Just like the original Quake II from 1997, it starts with the protagonist landing on an alien planet. Apart from the ray tracing, everything else stays the same – the gameplay, the storyline, the weapons and the characters Now the same game has been reprogrammed to include the support of ray tracing rendering by NVIDIA. Quake II was originally released by id software in 1997 in association with Hyperion and Activision. Ray tracing feature is not available in all the graphics processors (GPU) so you have to first get a ray tracing enabled GPU for your PC and only then you will be able to enjoy the new improved Quake II RTX. Because of the Ray Tracing, it is being called Quake II RTX. It still uses the old graphics, nothing much is changed there – but through the use of ray tracing they appear much better. Using the ray tracing rendering, NVIDIA has made the original Quake II graphics look much better. The cult classic game Quake II is back, but this time with improved graphics. ![]()
